Pa'iPa'i 04:35
Last night in the mountain a hundred voices whispered, Floating in the wind, words that I’ve never heard before. It wasn’t a simple earthquake yesterday morning. I’m afraid they lied about everything. The seeds in the field are special. This plant over there aren’t like the others. I think I just saw a boy emerging from the ground. Were they born here? Grew up in the soil ? Raised in the darkness Waiting ? A cloud, a rain, a cloud, a rain, A cloud, a rain in my zone… Many many roads but which way do I go now ? I saw the sun, deep, deep in the soil and a rose, rose, rose. Raised with the others Following the road Going to the cliff To be eaten by the eels I’m not like the others Jumping in a hole Fighting in their wars Fulfilling their goal Man now dance. Foot is a root. Arm a branch. Soul is a fruit Were we born here? Grew up in the soil ? Raised in the darkness Waiting ? Waiting for a cloud a rain is all I do while I’m hanging in my zone Among the stones a plant a loner And the rocks around me built a wall Dig my head above the earth Spit the dirt out of my mouth Sweep the dust out of my sight Had a vision: my homicide In pollution, by pollution With pollution, air is wicked Then I close my eyes and I see Illusions in illusions And with confusion open them Head spinning up and down In the mud in open air Take a whiff of cyanide Head spinning left and right I don’t know where to go It’s giving me the vertigo.

Breathing the air, liquid Look at this world, wicked Above is under Running over the Womb of my mother Tombs of my fathers ask myself so many questions i can’t find the reason red light at sunset the changing of seasons where is this island that looks like a prison Breathing the air, liquid Look at this world, wicked Above is under Running over the Womb of my mother Tombs of my fathers (Days, turning over to night Shade, allways over the light Striking the rythm ) Running away Your worries are burning through fire Running away Memories are burning through fire

Sun turns my body, sun turns my body, sun turns my body.. He’s looking down on me, spreading all his light. He burns my hair, burns my skin, burns my hair, burns my skin, burnsmy hair, burns my skin. Even the night I feel the heat... It slowly consumes my mind. Sun makes my eyes bleed. Sun makes me blind. Sun makes me love the dark and all the coldest places. It slowly consumes my mind. I’m a fire head man X 4 (Winter in summer Nigh in haze Counting hours Days after days Making it raining Evaporating again and again my heart is aching) Pont Can you cry for me? I just need somme tears drops. Can you cry for me? Put the flames out. Sun strokes my body. He’s making my head spin, spreading all his light. He burns my heart, boils my blood, burns my heart, boils my blood.. burns my heart, boils my blood, Even the night I feel the heat... It slowly consumes my mind. I’m a fire head man X 4 (Winter in summer Nigh in haze Counting hours Days after days Making it raining Evaporating again and again my heart is aching) CLOUDS BLINDING MY EYES AFTER THE NIGHT IN THE MORNING I RISE STARS IN YOUR EYES IN THE SKY VANISHING AS MY PRIDE IS HURTING FROM JEALOUSY

about

Since 2013, the multidisciplinary collective turned music act QuinzeQuinze produces « climatic », colourful and insular music, carried by the Tahitian heritage of two members of the group. By bringing together ancestral ōrero (Polynesian oratory art), traditional percussive instruments (to'ere, steel drum), South American and Caribbean influences (candombe, calypso), and futuristic electronic productions, QuinzeQuinze gives life to a singular and timeless narrative style.

Nevaneva, their first EP (2018) showcased ardent creativity, placing experimentation at the heart of their production work. These five studio devotees spend a lot of time building up their own sound bank, resulting in a music with rich textures and unique sounds, articulated around four nuanced voices. With this first project, these contemporary storytellers and gatekeepers of memory immerse the listener in the Polynesian legend of the creation of the world, which they reinterpret through evocative poetry.

Quinzequinze is back today with Le Jeune, a second EP mixed by Ash Workman (Metronomy / Christine & the Queens), telling epic stories, full of strange surrealism and extravagant science fiction.
